Free image with every purchase

I will give away the digi image Debbie used on my last project with every digi purchase from now until the end of April - just make your purchase and pay for it using Paypal and I will include Debbie when I email your image to you.

It's been a while!

I've been neglecting this blog lately and so I had to make a card to show that I'm still around and haven't dropped off the face of the earth just yet! Of course if you follow my other blog you'll probably already know that life has been a bit hectic recently, however I have a card to share today which uses Debbie, one of my favourite digi stamps.
I looked around for a suitable challenge or two and found the Kaboodle Doodles challenge was perfect as they were looking for a Digi Girl and Digital Tuesday's challenge was to paperpiece with digi image so here we are:

Debbie has been coloured with Promarkers and paper-pieced with two patterned papers, I die cut one of the patterned papers (which came from K&Co Hopscotch) and added some fabric flowers and brads to match. The sentiment was a die cut, threaded with some organza ribbon, finished with a bow and stamped with a Hero Arts stamp. The lace was re-cycled from another card.

I will give away the digi image Debbie used on this project with every digi purchase from now until the end of April - just make your purchase and pay for it using Paypal and I will include Debbie when I email your image to you.

The card also fits the challenges:
Cupcake Craft - Childhood Memories (I used to love skipping)
Pink Elephant - 1 image, 2 dies, 3 embellishments
Our Creative Corner - Bows

Five challenges

I made this card yesterday with 5 challenges in mind - see which ones at the end of the post. I used K&Co backing paper, my own digi stamp Rosie coloured with Promarkers, Prima flowers, recycled petticoat lace (had just enough left over from another project), a fancy button from who knows where and a sentiment from Woodware. The butterflies are peel-offs - something I very rarely use but these ones are really pretty mounted on acetate with little half pearls added for the heads.

The challenges I'm entering it for are-
Charisma Cardz - butterflies
Kaboodle Doodles - Happy Birthday
Cute Card Thursday - Celebrations
and
Spoonful of Sugar - use something recycled

I also intended to enter it into the Lala Land challenge but hadn't taken note of the fact that I had to use one of their own images so I've disqualified myself from that one :(

Great Job!

I wanted to show you the great job my sister Gillian made of this card using my digi stamp Lucy's Ted. She made the card for our aunt's birthday which is tomorrow and I just love how she's coloured the image and added the freckles!

Going girly

Made a new card today for the Stamp Something challenge whose challenge this week is Something Girly. I used my Sally digi stamp and coloured her up in girly pink with my Promarkers. I cut a circle with my nestabilities and tried a new technique I saw the other day which involved using a Stampin Up border punch to cut a long strip (about 12'5") which I then snipped at intervals to make it fit around my circle to create a border. You will find a tutorial for this over here on the Simon Says Stamp blog. I then decorated the card with ribbon, a fabric flower, a pin, buttons, dewdrops and diamontes. My backing paper is from Papermania.

Also entering the challenges below:
Saturday Spotlight - Friendship
Paperplay - Just Because
Papertake Weekly - Buttons, bows, brads & bling (might actually be too late for this one!)
Simon Says - Girly

Taste of the Orient

I've just had enough time this morning to make a card to show off my Oriental Fairy digi stamp. I really need to get on with the 200 Prom Invitations I'm in the middle of so this is just a quick post. I've coloured the image with Promarkers and used Star Dust Stickles for her wings. The blossom stamp in the background is by Woodware.
I'm entering the card for the Corrosive Challenge 53 as their theme is Asian this week and for the Sophisticat challenge whose theme is Oriental.

One for the Boys

I have made this card using one of my latest digi stamps for this week's Quixotic Challenge, which is One for the Boys. The new image Kevin was perfect for this one, I printed out the image and waited for a few hours to be sure that the ink was dry enough to use my Promarkers to colour Kevin. I designed the layout to follow the sketch from Papertake Weekly and when the image was coloured I distressed the edges of the card and some backing card, tore then inked the edges of the green card . The various layers of distressed card were then mounted on top of my backing paper from K&Co. I finished it all of with Studio G sentiment stamps, a couple of brads and some flat backed pearls which I coloured with a Promarker to match the colour scheme.

The card is entered for the following challenges:
Quixotic Challenges - One for the Boys
Saturday Spotlight - Mess Around, distressing, tearing
ABC challenge - O is for One Paper
Papertake Weekly - Sketch
Dare U2 Digistamp - Pearls
Cards for Men - Green
and
Inky Impressions - Think Spring colours
